HIGH POINT, N.C. — A building at the Blair Park Golf Course on South Main Street was damaged early Monday in a fire.

Police say the one-alarm fire was reported shortly after 2:45 a.m. in the golf course cafeteria.

Officers initially responded to the scene due to a burglar alarm, but noticed the smoke and called firefighters when they arrived.

There was no word as to how much damage the blaze caused or whether it was intentionally set.

City officials say the golf course will be closed until further notice.
