Deputies: Rockingham Co. woman stabbed boyfriend

RUFFIN, N.C. – Deputies said a woman was arrested Saturday after she stabbed her boyfriend with a steak knife at their apartment in Ruffin.

Kimberly Sue Gauldin, 36, was charged with felony assault after deputies said they responded to the couple’s residence at 181 Ruffin School Road around 11:30 p.m.

Deputies said the 41-year-old victim was treated at a local hospital for injuries to him left arm. The extent of his injuries was not released. Officials said the incident stemmed from an argument.

Authorities said Gauldin was placed in the Rockingham County Jail under a domestic hold and has court planned for Jan. 30.
