HIGH POINT, N.C. -- A 21-year-old High Point University student was arrested on Christmas Day and charged with bringing a weapon on campus.

Anna Laura Huckelba, 21, of 122 Forest Manor, Sanford, faces one count of felony possession of weapon on campus and three counts of misdemeanor possession of weapons on campus following her arrest on Dec. 25, according to Capt. Michael Kirk.

Capt. Kirk said the incident stemmed from an argument with another student.

According to Capt. Kirk, there was a posting on Tumblr that "caused concern." The alleged post was reported to High Point University security by an alumnus.

Security stopped the woman on campus around 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 25 and found a handgun and "a couple" knives in her car.

High Point University security then contacted High Point Police.

Huckelba was placed in the Guilford County Jail under a $50,000 bond.

High Point University released the following statement on Wednesday:

While campus was closed and students, faculty, and staff were home for the Christmas holiday, a female student was arrested for having a firearm in their vehicle on campus. The student is no longer enrolled at High Point University.
