Priest stuck in handcuffs calls 911 – listen to call
A Springfield, Illinois priest remains on a leave of absence after a bizarre 911 call that included him telling the dispatcher he was trapped in handcuffs.
Earlier this week, a 911 call was released to the Illinois Times newspaper that features Father Tom Donovan of St. Aloysius Church.
“I’m going to need help getting out before this becomes a medical emergency,” Father Tom Donovan told a dispatcher during the Nov. 28 call.
“You’re stuck in a pair of handcuffs?” the dispatcher asks.
“(I was) playing with them and I need help getting out,” Donovan responds.
When police arrived, they said Donovan was wearing an orange jumpsuit and a mask with a gag.
