TSA screener arrested in Charlotte, charged with stealing $36

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Transportation Security Administration screener at Charlotte Douglas International Airport was arrested and fired after he was accused of stealing $36 from a passenger, WSOC is reporting.
According to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report, 52-year-old Reggie Edwards stole $36 from the passenger’s suitcase.
Edwards was charged with larceny under $50 and was fired. A
TSA Spokesman said in a statement Sunday, “The TSA does not tolerate theft and moved immediately to terminate this individual.”
