Storage units targeted in Rockingham County thefts

RUFFIN, N.C. — Deputies are investigating multiple storage unit break-ins in Rockingham County. 

According to deputies, the break-ins were all reported on Saturday. 

Deputies say the culprit or culprits targeted multiple units at Ruffin Mini Storage at 344 Worsham Mill Road in Ruffin. 

“An inventory of the items taken from the units is still underway,” deputies said in a news release. 

At Highway 14 mini Storage at 8607 N.C. 14 North in Eden, multiple units were broken into on Wednesday., deputies said. 

In both instances, deputies say the locks on the units were cut off before.
