Police: Thief hides in ceiling before robbing NC store
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Police say a thief hid in the ceiling of a bookstore and waited until they closed to steal money Sunday evening in Fayetteville.
The Fayetteville Observer reports that the crime occurred at 2nd & Charles Store after officials say the thief climbed down out of the ceiling and emptied a safe in the manager’s office.
Authorities say the thief took an undisclosed amount of money and left. A description of the suspect was not released. No injuries were reported.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
