Lance Armstrong admission could be soon (report)

Lance Armstrong, who last year was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and banned from competing in all Olympic sports for alleged doping and drug use, has told close associates and antidoping officials he is considering publicly admitting he used performance-enhancing drugs, the New York Times is reporting.

Armstrong could admit to using blood transfusions during his cycling career, according to the report.

The report suggests Armstrong hopes to persuade antidoping officials to restore his eligibility so he can resume his athletic career.

For over a decade, Armstrong has denied all doping allegations.

Armstrong’s lawyer spoke to the New York Times and when asked about the report, he said “Lance has to speak for himself on that.”
