Man dies after being struck by vehicle in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police say a Greensboro man who was struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening has died. 

According to police, the crash was reported shortly before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Willow and Bristol roads. 

Police say Harold Butts, 35, was struck by a vehicle that was heading north on Willow Road. 

Butts was taken to Moses Cone Hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

Around 2 p.m. Thursday, police said Butts had died as a result of the injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.  Police say they do not suspect that any impairment played a role. 

Police are reconstructing the collision as the investigation continues.
