Mother, 2 kids killed in Fayetteville home fire identified
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – North Carolina officials say a 25-year-old woman and her two children were found dead in a house fire in Fayetteville.
Fayetteville police say emergency crews responded to the fire about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday and found the residents dead inside.
Police identified the dead as Ashley Nicole Bullock and her children Trayvon and Andrew. Officers say initial reports indicate the children were 5 and 7, but exact ages haven’t yet been determined.
Fayetteville authorities and the State Bureau of Investigation are investigating what cause the fire.
The blaze caused police to close the eastbound lanes of traffic leading to Fort Bragg. Police say drivers along Cliffdale Road should expect major delays.
