Salisbury store owner killed during apparent robbery

SALISBURY, N.C. (AP) — Authorities say the owner of a convenience store in Salisbury has died after he was shot during an apparent robbery.
Rowan County deputies say 59-year-old Hecham Abualeinan died shortly before 10 p.m. on Monday after he was shot in the head at his Z & H Mart.
No arrests have been made. Investigators said they planned to release more details about the shooting later Tuesday.
County authorities are working on the case with the State Bureau of Investigation.
