High Point University gets ready for Wake Forest

HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point University (4-3) takes on Wake Forest (3-4) in its only game against an ACC opponent this season on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Lawrence Joel Coliseum.

The Panthers are coming off a 99-36 thumping over Johnson & Wales last Sunday while the Demon Deacons are coming off a 62-60 loss at Richmond.

Wake Forest is 3-4 with wins over Radford, Mercer and William & Mary. The Demon Deacons have lost two in a row, a 79-63 loss to Nebraska on Nov. 27 and a 62-60 loss at Richmond on Dec. 1.

High Point is looking for its first win over the Demon Deacons since the 1934-35 season. The Panthers are 1-10 all-time against Wake Forest.
