Police: Decorative pig stolen, damaged in downtown Lexington

LEXINGTON, N.C. — Police said a decorative pig was damaged after being stolen from downtown Lexington.

Officials said the pig was taken from West Center and Main Street and was apparently dumped on Rockway Drive. The time of the alleged crime was not released.

Officers said the pig sustained damage and would have to be repaired before being put back in place on Monday.

Police said a photo of the damaged pig will not be released because of the ongoing investigation. No other details were provided.
