EDGECOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities responded Friday afternoon to the scene of a reported explosion and fire at a farm in Edgecombe County.
According to WTVD, the fire was reported around 12:30 p.m. at a farm southwest of Conetoe.
Photos from WTVD’s helicopter “showed a farm building close to the intersection of Thigpen and Ellis roads with its roof blown off,” the station reports.
The station reports the burned building was adjacent to what appeared to be grain silos.
There is no word as to whether anyone was injured.
