This year’s Give A Kid A Coat campaign will conclude on Saturday, November 24, 2012.

Week four finished behind last year with a total count to date of 14,394 coats.

Although we closed the gap by about 631 coats from last week’s shortage, the count is still about 815 coats shy of last year’s count at the end of week four.

“We need to make a big push this last week to bring in as many coats as possible,” says Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World. “There are still many children in the Piedmont needing a warm coat this winter.”

“We here at 107.5 KZL are so honored to be a part of Give A Kid A Coat again this

year!,” says Jared from the Jared and Katie in the Morning Show, “It warms the

heart to see the generosity of so many people all across theTriad who willingly

donate their children’s coats so that other less fortunate children can be warm all

winter long.”

Residents that wish to participate in this year’s campaign can simply drop off

their outgrown coats or coats they no longer wear at the nearest A Cleaner World

(see locations for A Cleaner World’s Greensboro dry cleaners, High Point dry cleaners, and Winston Salem dry cleaners).

Coats will then be cleaned, repaired, and delivered to The Salvation Army for

distribution. Families in need of coats should check with their nearest Salvation

Army for distribution information as distribution times and locations vary by city.

In addition, folks who want to help but who may not have a coat to donate, may make a monetary donation at any High Point Bank location for Give A Kid A Coat. All donations will be given to The Salvation Army to purchase additional coats.
Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP, and 1075KZL. For additional information, please call Dianne Black at 336-841-4188.
