Body found near elementary school in Rowan County

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies said they are investigating after a body was found Friday night near an elementary school in Rowan County.

WBTV reported that the body was found after firefighters responded to Millbridge Elementary School on Ed Deal Road around 8:09 p.m.

Deputies did not say a cause of death or identify the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
