Comic book convention to be held in Greensboro
Greensboro Acme Comics will host the 2013 Comic Book City Conference at the Empire Room in downtown Greensboro.
Thousands are expected to attended bringing increased revenue to the area.
“We want to have a show that is attractive enough, that people will come to Greensboro, stay overnight and check out our restaurants. We want this to be something that Greensboro can do a lot with.” said Jermaine Exum, Acme Comic store manager.
The last time a comic book convention was held in Greensboro was in the early 1990s.
Other comic book conventions will also be held next year in Charlotte and Durham.
