Suspect arrested after shooting incident near Peters Creek Parkway
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A suspect was arrested Tuesday night following a shooting incident near the 5300 block of Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem.
Police Chief Scott Cunningham said a suspect was barricaded inside a building around 6:45 p.m..
Cunningham said officers fired at the suspect after the suspect pointed a weapon at them.
Around 7:15 p.m., Cunningham said the incident was over and the suspect was arrested.
No one was injured.
An employee at a nearby daycare said officers asked them to keep the building locked down immediately after the shooting.
No other information is available.
