WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Volunteers from both sides of the aisle worked the phones Monday night to get voters to the polls Tuesday.
“We are busy making last get out the vote calls,” said Scott Cumbie, chair of the Forsyth County Republican Party. “Very hopeful for [Tuesday], optimistic, but glad it’s here,” he said.
“We are calling everybody,” said Susan Campbell, chair of the Forsyth County Democratic Party. “It’s fun, great fun, we are in high spirits,” she said.
Both sides called registered voters who didn’t cast a ballot in the early voting — making sure they were going to get out to the polls on Tuesday.
