Wreck involving Brinks truck reported on U.S. 52 in Davidson Co.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — The North Carolina Highway Patrol says a Brinks truck has been involved in a wreck on U.S. 52 Monday night between Winston-Salem and Lexington.

Authorities said the wreck was reported near mile marker 92 where U.S. 52 crosses Old 52 around 9:12 p.m. Officials said injuries were reported and Davidson County EMS has been dispatched.

Officials said money was spilled on the roadway but has since been collected.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation said U.S. 52 at mile marker 96 is closed in all directions. No other details were immediately available.
