HIGH POINT, NC -- Piedmont counties including Guilford, Forsyth, Yadkin, and Wilkes are on pace to set early voting records.

More than 82,000 men and women have voted in Forsyth County. More than 130,000 have voted already in Guilford County.

So far in Guilford County, women are out voting men by about 17,000 voters. Caucasians are out voting African-Americans by close to a 3 to 2 ratio.

Democrats have voted nearly twice as many times as Republicans. More than 20,000 early voters in Guilford County listed themselves as unaffiliated.

Early voters say convenience and avoiding long lines on Election Day were their number one reasons for voting before November 6.
