Photos: Sandy dumps record snow in West Virginia
Sandy dumped record amounts of snow in West Virginia this week.
The “superstorm” buried many parts of the state under more than a foot of snow, cutting power to more than 240,000 customers, closing dozens of roads and killing at least one person.
At the Snowshoe Mountain Resort, a spokesperson said more than 19 inches had fallen as of Tuesday afternoon.
