Henry County deputies indict two suspects in murder cases
HENRY COUNTY, Va. — Deputies in Henry County said indictments were handed down on two people on Monday in connection to two people who were murdered last year.
Darius Taylor Younger, 21, and Kayla Mae Bowman, 20, were indicted in connection to the murders of Robert Walker Lawrence, 33, and Amanda Ann Massey, 31 on or about May 23, 2011.
Authorities said Younger was indicted for three counts of capital murder, three counts of use of a firearm in commission of murder, one count of robbery, one count of use of a firearm in commission of robbery and one count of maliciously shooting into an occupied vehicle.
Officials said Bowman was charged with one count each of carjacking and concealing or compounding evidence of a felony.
Deputies said Bowman has been arrested and is in the Henry County Jail under no bond. Officials said Younger is currently incarcerated, serving a sentence in the Virginia Dept. of Corrections for an unrelated crime.
Deputies said arrangements are being made through proper court orders to serve these indictments promptly.
