One dead, one wounded in Henderson apartment shooting

HENDERSON, N.C. — Investigators say a 25-year-old Raleigh man is dead and another man has been injured in a shooting at a Henderson apartment complex.

Authorities said Gregory Welfare died at the hospital shortly after the shooting around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The second man shot was still in the hospital.

Police say they are trying to figure out what led to the shooting at the Springwood Apartment Complex. No arrests have been made.
