Suspect sought after armed robbery in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a former roommate at gunpoint on Thursday night.

According to police, at about 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a home at 2811 Dexter Ave., in reference to a robbery.

Police say the victim, Zachary Myers, was robbed by his former friend and roommate, Eddie Ortega Garcia, 34, and another unidentified suspect at gunpoint.

The suspects were seen leaving the area in a dark-colored SUV.

Warrants have been issued for Garcia’s arrest for armed robbery, first degree burglary, assault by pointing a gun, and conspiracy to commit a felony, said police.

Police provided an incomplete description of the suspects.
