Police: Witnesses say school bus struck after running red light

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Witnesses tell police a school bus was struck Monday morning in Greensboro after running a red light. 

According to police spokeswoman Susan Danielsen, the crash happened shortly before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lindsey and Dudley streets. 

Witnesses told police a car traveling west on Dudley Street struck the school bus after the bus went through a red light while heading north on Dudley Street. 

While the driver of the car sustained minor injuries to one of their hands, Danielsen said nobody else was injured. 

The bus was carrying 12 students to Aycock Middle School, Danielsen said. 

No charges have been filed.
