Gunshot fired during Burlington home break-in

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police say a gunshot was fired early Thursday during a home break-in in Burlington. 

According to police, the break-in happened around 3 a.m. in the 1400 block of Grime Street. 

The victims told police a group of between 4 and 6 men forced their way inside and briefly rummaged through the home. 

One of the suspects fired a single gunshot while inside the home, however no injuries were reported. 

The suspects were last seen running south away from the home. 

The victims were not able to provide descriptions of the suspects, police said.
