BURLINGTON, N.C. — A Burlington woman was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night as she was leaving the Dollar Tree store on North Church Street. 

According to police, the victim was near her car in the parking lot when the suspect stole her purse at gunpoint and ran away. 

The suspect, who was last seen on Bland Boulevard running toward Martin Street, is described as a “young” Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes standing 5’5″ tall and weighing 130 lbs.  He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt or jacket with white seams, a white T-shirt and white bandanna over his face at the time of the robbery. 

The victim was not injured.
