CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Democratic National Convention delegate from California was reportedly asked not to participate in any convention-related activities after an incident at a hotel in uptown Charlotte.

According to WSOC, a statement from the California Democratic Party indicated the man was asked to leave his hotel and “avoid participating in any convention-related activities.”

Staff at the Blake Hotel told WSOC the man, who was not identified, was “drunk and disruptive.”

The man was not arrested, the station reports.

WSOC reports paramedics were called to the scene because another delegate who was with the man was found unconscious.  He was taken to a local hospital, but recovered and was released, the station reports.

According to WCNC, the second delegate, who was also from California but not identified, was asked to return home as well.
