Public can sign up to hear Obama nomination speech

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Democratic National Convention announced it will allow people to sign up for a chance to get tickets to hear President Barack Obama’s speech at the end of the convention.

President Obama will speak at Bank of America Stadium on Thursday, September 6. Vice President Joe Biden is also expected to speak that night.

Those wanting to attend must provide their name, e-mail address, phone number and zip code using the online form.

According to a note on the website, those that register will be sent more information about obtaining a credential. Those that plan to attend must arrange their own travel and lodging.

Organizers did not say how many of the credentials would be available for members of the public.
