Two arrested in Burlington drug bust

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police said two men were arrested after various drugs and weapons including an “uzi” style firearm were found in their home Friday in Burlington.
Ephriam A. Alexander Jr., 42, and Vincent Augustus Phills Jr., 36, both of 1312 Rayon Street, are accused of selling drugs out of their house after a raid by the Burlington Police Department and the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said marijuana, cocaine, handguns, a shotgun, an “uzi” style firearm and a ballistic vest were found in the home.
Police said the suspects were charged with one count each of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for the sell of controlled substance and manufacturing a controlled substance.
Authorities said Phills was also charged with two outstanding warrants for failure to appear.
Officials said Alexander was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $125,000 bond and Phills a $127,000 bond.
