Family loses home in Thomasville fire

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Officials said a family lost their mobile home after a house fire Saturday in Thomasville.

Officials said the blaze started around 11:45 a.m. at 456 Pleasant Grove Church Road and 13 firefighters from four units had the situation under control in about 30 minutes.

No injuries were reported. Officials said the home is a total loss.

Authorities said the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters said flames were visible by the time they arrived. Authorities said the Red Cross is assisting the family.
