EDEN, N.C. — Police in Eden are investigating a deadly crash that happened on Friday afternoon.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the intersection of  Meadow Road and Pierce Street after an accident was reported.

Police say that a 2004 GMC truck was on its side and a 2001 Pontiac was against a utility pole when they arrived.

One of the passengers of the Pontiac was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were transported to Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

The driver and passenger in the truck were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

No other information was provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
