Burlington Police seek armed robbery suspect

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police responded to an area Dollar General after receiving reports that a armed robbery had taken place on Wednesday.

At approximately 6:20 p.m., police responded to the business located at 3549 South Church Street after a man approached a store clerk, brandished a firearm and demanded money.

The suspect fled the scene on foot traveling west.

The suspect was described as a white male, 25-35 years of age, 5”8”-5’10” in height, medium build, with brown hair and goatee .He was wearing white shoes, khaki shorts, a light colored sleeveless t-shirt and a bright blue cap with a design of the cartoon character “Cookie Monster” on the front.
