GREENSBORO, N.C. — A North Carolina A&T State University athlete was honored by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference on Wednesday.

Jared Baldwin a track and field student-athlete and recent college graduate, was named the inaugural Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Man of the Year.

Chosen by MEAC Athletic Directors, Baldwin is an example for all student athletes because of his service and leadership on the field and in the classroom.

“Mr. Baldwin’s commitment and excellence on and off the field of play exemplifies why he is the inaugural MEAC Man of the Year. His accomplishments are a testament not only to his hard work and dedication but also that of his administrators, athletic and academic support staff and coaches who helped him while at North Carolina A&T,” said MEAC Commissioner Dennis Thomas.

Baldwin will be recognized for the achievements during the annual MEAC Football Press Luncheon on Friday, July 20 at the Sheraton Waterside Hotel in Norfolk, Virginia.
