Attempted robbery suspects drive pickup truck into pawn shop

BURLINGTON, N.C. On Monday, police reported three men attempted to break into a local pawn shop by driving a stolen pickup truck into the building.

At approximately 2:25 a.m., police responded to Quick Cash Pawn located at 2437 North Church Street, after three suspects used a stolen pickup truck to ram the side wall of the shop.

The suspects we unable to gain access to the shop but caused an estimated $20,000 in damages to the building.

After investigating, police identified that the 1996 Nissan Frontier truck was stolen from Carolina Homes and Auto located on 2432 N Church Street. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $2,500.00.

The suspects were last seen driving a sedan, traveling east on North Church Street towards Haw River.

Police provided an incomplete description of the suspects.
