Police: NC couple tells robber to read Bible instead of commit crime

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — A Lincolnton couple told a man robbing their home that he should read the Bible instead of steal from people.

Police say they are looking for a man who broke into the couple’s home on Wednesday afternoon and demanded money and prescription drugs.

Authorities say the male victim was reading his Bible when the suspect pointed a gun at him.

Authorities say the couple wasn’t hurt, and the man ran from the home after the robbery. The man’s wife yelled after the suspect that he should be reading his Bible instead of committing crimes.

Police are still investigating.
