Man faces DUI charges after short chase near Thomasville

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — A Trinity man faces multiple charges including DUI after a car chase led to an accident near Thomasville.

Deputies attempted to stop Willie Floyd Foushee Jr., 52, of Trinity, for driving “left of center” near Thomasville on Friday.

Foushee did not stop and led police on a brief chase. He ran over tow stop signs and crashed into a ditch, according to deputies.

Foushee ran from the car and was arrested following a foot pursuit.

He faces several charges including DWI, driving with a revoked license, careless and wreckless driving and displaying a fictitious tag.

He is being held in the Davidson County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
