TROY, N.C. — A Troy man was shot to death early Wednesday in Montgomery County.

Antonio Fernando Lilly, 30, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 700 block of Eldorado Street shortly before 12:45 a.m., according to Police Chief Kenny Allen.

The victim, who was found partially in the roadway, was pronounced dead at the scene, Allen said.

Allen said Lilly did not live in the neighborhood where he was found.  He said there was some type of confrontation on the sidewalk before the shooting.

Lilly’s body has been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Chapel Hill for an autopsy.

Nobody has been identified as a suspect, but Allen said they are “pursuing leads.”
