IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — An Iredell County grand jury indicted former NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield Wednesday for a series of larcenies dating back to 2010.

WSOC reported that Mayfield is charged with five counts of felonious breaking and entering of tractor trailers and one count of subsequent felonious larceny.

The Mooresville Police Department said Mayfield is also charged with two counts of felonious breaking, entering, and felonious larceny from a building.

Officials said several breaking and entering cases and subsequent larcenies occurring in 2010 in Mooresville were investigated.

WSOC reported that officers presented evidence to the Iredell County grand jury, which then returned a true bill of indictment for Mayfield’s arrest and two additional co-defendants, police said.
