Suspect sought in Greensboro armed robbery

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Police are looking for a man after they said a convenience store was robbed Saturday in Greensboro.

The suspect allegedly entered Aman Mini Mart at 2303 North Church St. around 11:08 a.m. with a semi-automatic pistol and ordered everyone to get on the floor.

Police said he took an undisclosed amount of money and fled west on foot going behind the north side of the Golden Gate Shopping Center. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as 5'8" to 5'10," with a slim build, dark hair and a medium complexion, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, and dark pants.

Some Greensboro streets were closed down in an effort to catch the suspect, but have since been reopened.

The investigation is ongoing. No other information was released.
