One injured in single-vehicle wreck in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — One person suffered life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning in Greensboro.

Police said the wreck happened shortly after 10:45 a.m across the street from Irving Park Elementary School on Dellwood Drive.

The driver, 59-year-old William Spence, was taken to Moses Cone Hospital where he was listed in serious condition as of 1:45 p.m.

Police said they think Spence crashed due to a medical condition or heart attack.

No other injuries were reported.

Police are still investigating and no other details were immediately available.
