GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Free screenings and doctor consultations are among the things people can do at a community health fair on Saturday.

Fair activities begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Shiloh Baptist Church enrichment center on South Eugene Street in Greensboro.

Most activities will start at 10 a.m. A 1.5-mile health walk will kick off the event at 8:30 a.m.

A&T professor Dr. Patricia Lynch said she feels the fair will help encourage students to continue to improve their health habits.

"It's important for us to show students how to take principles of nutrition, disease prevention and wellness from the classroom into the community," Lynch said.

The North Carolina A&T Food and Nutritional Sciences Program is teaming up with the church to offer the fair.
