Thomasville man, 61, accused of child sex offenses

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A Thomasville man has been accused of sex offenses with a child.

In a news release, deputies said they started investigating 61-year-old Brooks Todd after receiving a report concerning a child who was sexually assaulted on Feb. 23.  On Monday, deputies said they concluded that the allegations were true.

Todd, of 110 Maple Ave., is charged with one count each of first-degree sex offense with a child and indecent liberties with a child.

The suspect was jailed in Davidson County under a $500,000 secured bond. He has a court date set for April 3 in Lexington.

Deputies said the alleged offenses occurred between Feb. 1 and Feb. 23.
