Gatlinburg may get second chairlift up the mountain

GATLINBURG, TN – The Smoky Mountains resort town of Gatlinburg may get a second chairlift.

According to The Mountain Press, developers plan the new chairlift up the side of the mountain following a similar route as one that has existed for years.

It would be 35 feet above the ground and lead to a proposed lodge at the top.

Developers are requesting a right of way to cross over a city street.
