‘Cowboy Country’ building destroyed in blaze

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. -Officials said a fire destroyed a building on Muddy Creek Road near ‘Cowboy Country’ in Randolph County.

The fire at 6699 Muddy Creek Road was first reported around 3 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they could see flames from the road.

Investigators said the fire impacted a cluster of buildings known as ‘Cowboy Country.’ One building was destroyed.

Fire officials did not say how the fire started.
