HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP)— An 'American Idol' contestant from Stokesdale who recently competed in Hollywood visited FOX8 Wednesday morning.

Chelsea Sorrell, 22, went to Hollywood after receiving her golden ticket at the American Idol auditions in Nashville back in July.

Sorrell cannot disclose details about the event. The Hollywood round of season 11 begins at 8 p.m. Wednesday on FOX.

Sorrell said she felt good and was more confident than her audition last year.

Sorrell performs with the Chris Lane Band, which opened up for Sara Evans at the Lexington Barbecue Festival last year. She won the Childress Idol in Lexington.

No matter how far Sorrell gets in the Idol, she said she will stick with the band, whose recent single hit No. 7 on iTunes Country.
