Thomasville man charged with failing to register as a sex offender

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A Thomasville man was arrested after deputies said he did not register as a sex offender after moving to Davidson County in August 2011.

David Wayne Spainhour, 33, was charged with failing to change his address with the Davidson County Sheriff’s office within the required 10 days.

The crime was reported Thursday. Spainhour was convicted of indecent liberties with a minor in August 2007.

He was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a $1,000 secured bond and has court March 19.
