Page High School on Saturday won the 4AA football state championship football title against Garner.

The Pirates kicked off against Garner at 3 p.m. at BB&T Field in Winston-Salem. The 35-21 victory marked Page's first state title since earning three in the early- to mid-1980s.

Both teams went into the game with perfect seasons, but only Page's remained unblemished in the end.

Page joined two other teams from the Piedmont in winning their respective 2011 state football titles. West Stokes (2AA) also won Saturday when they played Kinston in Raleigh and Northern Guilford (3AA) won Friday night against Crest for back-to-back championships.
