Newsmaker: Stan Sheetz
This man runs more than 400 convenience stores with his namesake, 18 of which are in the Piedmont Triad.
In the video above, Neill McNeill talks with Newsmaker Stan Sheetz, whose company is undergoing a rapid expansion.
Sheetz said he is able to have the lowest gas prices in many markets because the food pays more of the bills. He also buys gas in a large volume, and he owns the trucking company that delivers all the gas to the stores.
The company is still trying to find a site for a distribution center, and Sheetz said he is not ruling out the Piedmont Triad. The final location will be made based on location, costs, incentives offered and workforce availability.
By the way, the song at the end of the story may sound Led Zeppelin-like, but it’s actually an original piece.
